The castle of Miramont was most probably built in the Middle Ages by the lords of Capendu.

Standing on a promontory, it overlooks superb scenery of the Aude valley and hills of the Minervois area.  The ruins are composed of a quadrangular dungeon and high and low level surrounding walls.  They have been recently restored.
